To enable others to experience this area, limited camping and fishing permits for Delta Downs are issued by KAC, for what is known as Smithburne and Van Diemens areas.  We believe that being able to camp and fish on our traditional lands is a privilege and not a right and all permits are issued on strict terms and conditions.
 
Anyone found camping and fishing without a Permit will be removed from the property immediately.  For further information including availability, prices, terms and conditions, do not hesitate to contact our office.

Our spacious off grid campsites holds something for every member of the family.  Allowing you to sit back and enjoy nature whilst the children are having a ball letting their imagination run wild.

PLEASE NOTE: There are multiple campsites at Smithburne, whilst Van Diemens only has one area.

​Remember – you are in Croc Country so please be Croc Wise.
Please be aware of crocodiles when camping, fishing or checking your crab pots. 

 

Prior to camping or entering Kurtijar Land, a permit must be obtained from the Kurtijar Aboriginal Corporation office at 44 Dutton Street, Normanton.  If you are found on the property without a permit, you will be asked to leave.

Fees are as follows:

Adult                                 $50 per person/per night
Locals (Ntn & Kba)           $25.00 per person/per night
Children                            Free
Traditional Owners            Free
